Sorry for your loss. I had a TC bbl in 7MM TCU once.
I knew who he was.

Yes, your uncle was a gunsmith of the first order and a forward thinker when it came to long-range handgun shooting.

For those of you who can't place the name, Wes Ugalde was the "U" of the "TCU" cartridges (as in Thompson Center Ugalde)

Graham, condolences to you and your family.

Sorry about your (and the shooting community's) loss. Hopefully he is shooting on a very nice and grassy silouhette range right now.

I am sorry to hear of your uncle passing away.

Using a TC Contender with a 10" barrel chambered in 7 MM TCU designed by your uncle I won 2 State Championships and set a Texas State Record of 35X40 standing in IHMSA Sillhouette back in the 80's.

We are diminished.

I hope he and Elmer and Jack, and Auggie Pachmyer, Paul Marquart, P.O., John Buhmiller, Al Linden, and all the rest of the good guys are sitting around having a beer up there, and shooting a few rounds too. You know, with all the good old guys moving on, it is starting to get damned lonesome down here...

Like the rest of our forum members...

our prayers are with you and your family and Wes's immediate family at this time of loss..

As said above by Alberta Canuck.. we sure hope he is sitting up in heaven and having a beer or two with the rest of his class of people and shooting the bull over our favorite subjects, and places they have been and hunts they have enjoyed...

good bless,
seafire and family...
cheers
