First, the action bar and it's spring rides over the outer magazine tube. Remove the "inner" magazine tube. Remove the takedown screw located at the bottom rear of the forearm. Carefully pull the forend down and away from the action and while grasping the barrel and forend assembly, pull and separate the complete front end from the receiver. Notice how the action bar lug fits in the bolt. Rotate the lug down and away from the bolt and remove the bolt from the barrel. To remove the action bar and spring, you will need to remove the screw that holds the outer magazine tube in place and carefully release the spring tension as you pull the tube forward and out of the forearm. There is a little metal tab that sits in a fragile groove on the front of the forearm. Becareful not to lose it, or, damage the grooves it sits in. Make yourself a drawing as you pull the gun apart so you will have an idea as to how it goes back together. Note the position of the ejector and how it fits in the barrel. Don't lose it. Good luck! | |||
