I have a barrelled action that I would to have mirror polished and blued(comparable to the old Lawson's Micro-Diamond Blue). Suggestions for the best place to have the polishing and blueing done? Thanks for your help. Dabney

depends on where you live. most guys that blue will do a high polish job if you want. just takes more time and buffing, hence more $$. pick someone who is not going to overbuff and ruin the sharp lines of the gun. i do know that ahlmans in morristown mn does a good job on it

You might give Simmons in Kansas a call. I have had shotguns reblued by them and they do excellent work. Don't know if they do rifles but I suspect they do. http://www.simmonsguns.com/ Don't ask me what happened, when I left Viet Nam, we were winning.

http://www.gunbluing.com/ I've had work done by these folks, and they do a very good job. Shoot straight, shoot often. Matt

+1 for Fords. I used them for a barreled action 4 years ago or so and they did a great job. There was some delay, but that might have been a one-time event, as they were moving from one Florida town to another.
