Spanish Mauser Buehler Safety Problems...

Dealing with a Spanish mauser, have taken apart the bolt, including the buehler safety, reassembled, and now the safety will not budge. wondering what is wrong.

I can manually flip the safety to the on position when the bolt is out and i hook the cocking piece on a table and pull back.

It appears that the amount of "bolt" sticking out the back of the shroud is greater when the safety is on, than when the gun is cocked with bolt in the gun. Could this be the problem?

Looking for a way to get the safety to work in the gun...it worked before...wondering what has changed.

If it worked ok before you took it apart there is a possability you didn't get the shroud screwed on far enough. It may need one more turn.
