Turn to page 51 of the current May 2002 issue of Shooting Times magazine. Look at the top of the page. Is that a major screw up or what? It is too funny.

I have seen several mistakes over the years in gun rags you would think the gun people would at least get them right.

I took a look at the photo last night. That rifle looks EXACTLY like a 243 Win that I've owned sinse I was 15.... and mine ain't no Remington!

At first, I thought that you were talking about the previous month's issue - I find it hard to believe they got 2925 fps with a 260 Nosler BT out of a 375 H&H, even if it was a 26" barrel.... I've loaded some up that are just under their load, but haven't chrono'd them out of my 24" barrel yet.

Definitely a Winnie. Now if they can't tell the difference, can anyhing else they say be right? Sorry. I just couldn't help myself. Oh yes I could, but I wanted to say it anyway.

Shooting Times is apparently not alone.

In the new RifleShooter, there's an editorial blurb near the back about Hornady SST's "now" being available for .270 shooters, with the only weights offered being 140-grain and 150-grain. If I'm not mistaken, the VERY first SST's Hornady developed were 130-grain .277".

Go figure.
