Hi all, I was wondering if you have a favorite carrier for shipping guns. I have to ship a couple and I'm a little nervous about it. I figured a gunsmith would know. Thanks in advance.

if your not a dealer then this can't apply to you. i use the post office priority mail for handguns and ups for long guns. these are the best i have found, given the restrictions and prices of the respective carriers.

Fed-Ex is the one to go with. UPS is the one to stay away from.

Agree Fed-Ex is the way to go. They will pick-up at any location you specify although it "must" be disassembled. UPS will only ship if you are willing to drive to a regional distribution center (1.5 hours away for me) and even then may not allow you to ship the whole gun at one time. Either way next day servous is required.
