Thinking about a 1000yd. gun for a benchrest silhoutte shoot being held this year.
I have a stolle panda 6ppc that I have not shot in years. Does anyone have an opinion of the 6.5 x 284 in this action. Bolt face will except .473 base .
Do you think the action will stay glued in the stock with added recoil?

Thanks for your opinions
Dale

Dale,
I know the Panda is used for that caliber but I don't know about a strict glue in handling it. I know the Big Bore Panda was done to take the added recoil of larger calibers. I'm pretty sure the action could be modified to add a recoil lug if you needed it. I would suggest contacting Kelbly's or post your question in the 1000yd forum at benchrest dot com.

Years ago I went that route and chose the long big bore Panda so I could eject a loaded round if need be. Still have and use that action although on a Palma rifle now. My number one sweetheart!
