what is the best way to get the creep out of this trigger? Ilightened up the pull and now there is a bunch of creep before the sear dis-in-guages.
Thanks Dave

Send it out to someone that knows what they are doing! I'm not trying to be a smartass, but to get the best from the mdl. 70 trigger the surfaces need reshaped. I use to think I knew how to tune, if you will, a 70 trigger, but after having the above work done, I foundout just how good they can be.
Dave Gentry, in Belgrade, MT opened my eyes.

Dave, I know you'll get lots of opinions about this ranging from don't touch it, to replacement but it's up to you.
To answer your question; I believe the best way is to adjust the scew till the sear drops and then back up a 1/3 of a turn. Lock it down and try it. IMO you can monkey with it and probably get something you'll be happy with. Just remember not to make it so light that it doesn't at least take a deliberate pull to make the hammer drop.

I suppose if one is messed up then it needs to be re stoned but I have never seen one so far.

Rub molydenumdisulfide on the sear surfaces and read http://www.snipercountry.com/Articles/AdjustingWinTrigger.htm
