jeffeossomaking a park gun ... always wanted one.. might be scoped, though, just to make certain ... probably would use a conventional scope mounting, though .. OR (heh)night vision!
it ought to be fun
thanks again

jeffeossodestroyer carbine based ..
using a brno model 1 as a pattern stock, and a light barrel, but not ultra light, 1:10 twist .. will do a bolt handle and make a floorplate .. want a nice like 3 shooter, park gun that MIGHT capable of being scoped .. will probably throat it to also take 220g hornady RNs .. at 800 FPS ... with a gen 1 night scope, this could REALLY be a hog hunter!

jeffeossookay -- this project appears to be on, again ..
7,62x25 on the destroyer carbine ..
had it out shooting in 9x23 .. blazer ammo -- you can SEE the bullet!
bcp, i'll probably put a shell deflector on it ..
a nice little park gun would be a hoot

N E 450 No2jeffe, a little bit of trivia...
Years ago when a group of us used to get together and shoot a bunch of different rifles in sort of a no rules IPSC type format [I say no rules as it was ALL IN FUN AND ALL ABOUT FINDING OUT WHAT WORKED BEST, AND WHAT WORKED BEST WITH WHAT YOU HAD, OR WANTED TO SHOOT...]
One of my buddies had a Destroyer rifle.
It was a blast to shoot, as well as being a compact light weight rifle, ie neat, sweet, petite... little rifle.

+1! I know you've been on the hunt for that longer than it takes to make a PH action, lol.

jeffeossoDang Harry!
Anyway, I hope to have it at least in a stock and shooting in the next couple weeks .. it will be a throwdown make due, but we'll see!

tiggertateI meant your search for the rifle, not the build time!

in this case, it turned out to be .805x12,and oddly, .6xx for the tenon, but should have been .722 ... and about an inch long.. might post pics sunday or monday on that.
http://www.9mmlargo.com/destroy/index.htm confirms that this thread pattern has also been seen .. interesting..
easy as heck to turn out, though

jeffeossoBarreled, crowned, stocked, and blackmax loctite 380 glued on sights .. in fact, the front sight was made from a block of ebony, just to get it to try.
load - quickload says VERY low pressure (20-21k) of 2400+86gr hornady .308 bullets ..
took some time to get sighted in .. it was 2 FEET low at 25, heh ..
once sighted in, it was moa or slightly over, in the rain, yesterday, out to 100 ..
at 25, it was 3 crowded on each other, 10 in an inch ...
CIP says the bergmann is a 2600BAR cartidge .. i think i can step up a little bit on the load.
2400 STILL didn't 100% burn in a ~20 barrel ..
feeds from the mag, shoots GREAT, horrible trigger, and the stock turned out REALLY ugly ... but, i can do another one.
