Please see pics. I have plans to thin stock down a little this spring and plan on replacing the black/w white spacer on the foreend. I am leaning toward a walnut burl or ?? I have dark cherry & Osage Orange (Boise-d-Arc), but they do not have any burl. Suggestions?

A light wood, looks like crap.If you don,t want plastic stay with a dark wood. Most popular with a stock as yours is cocoblo or rosewood.Blocks of wood can be picked up on ebay. van
