Do a PM to Butch Lambert and ask but I'd bet a box of beer it's a later model Shilen trigger. Butch would be able to identify it right down to the time of day it was made.

Shilen might have a new bolt stop release for it too, although I think the 700 one can be made to fit if memory serves. But it do take some tinkerin.

You could probably silver solder on a new tit to activate the bolt stop. No real problem but a roll of silver and flux will cost you more than a new part. You should have acetylene to solder it too.

When I was a kid. I had the stick. I had the rock. And I had the mud puddle. I am as adept with them today, as I was back then. Lets see today's kids say that about their IPods, IPads and XBoxes in 45 years!

Thanks, After looking a pics I suspected a Shilen. Now to find out the part and fix it. The most I could handle is pushing out pins and replacing the part.
Not my gun either!!

As always AR rocks!!

Get out your visa card. According to the one coconut in the reviews he installed one on a Shilen trigger. I suspect its just a drop in but you may have to tweak the tit a bit so it does not bind up the bolt stop.

I suspect that is how it got broken. It is on a Garland Gilbreath build. My nephew bought it from divorce stressed guy. I have no idea why he bought it, but this should be fixed so you can clean it easily.

Have the tab built up by TIG welding.
or
purchase a Rem 700 bolt release lever from Remington,Numrich,Brownells,Midway.

The aft trigger group pin is installed backwards-the lead/tapered end should be on RH side not LH/Bolt stop side.

Keep'em in the X ring,

Looks to be a Shilen. I always use my Remington parts as mine come without safety and bolt release.

Or just send it back to Shilen, they probably won't charge you a dime to replace that piece of wrought iron or tin.

Dan, I also understand your comment about the rear pin. Probably tackle this on Sunday.
