Just received technical advice from Brownell's. Their dyes that are sold wth and used with Acraglass are compatible with white Marine-Tex.

What products, if any, are suitable for tinting white marinetex. Will Brownells acraglass dies work, or? Would appreciate the benefit of your experience with this product.

From the Marine Tex website FAQ: "Can I pigment Marine-Tex? Only the White Marine-Tex can be pigmented. No pure color will be achieved by adding pigments. (We recommend epoxy-friendly pigments, like Fibre-Glass Evercoat's.)" I have used fiberglass gel coat tint to color match and it didn't appear to affect its properties, but I didn't do any real scientific analysis to see if it affected strength/hardness/setting time. Any marine or boat store should have something suitable. We use it all the time down here for fiberglass repairs (boats, surfboards, etc.)...great stuff, and I ended up trying it bedding a synthetic stock rifle with excellent results.

There is a dark grey version of MarineTex also. It is dark enough to be nearly invisible in a bedding job.
