Is there any aftermarket stuff? cause my wifes uncles has a crack all the way along the forestock of his Mauser action 30/06

Pretty much any stock for a Mauser 98 can be used, there's not much differance between them. Just keep an eye on the barrel channel, the one for military barrels will be stepped. You can still cut and fill, but almost anything available for a military 98 will also be avaialable for a commercial version. - Dan

I don't know how extensive the damage is, He's a farmer so I'm sure he'd to have tried to fix it if he coulda by now. Seemed to miss a few mulies when they were out last month using it.
