I am having H-S Precision build a 7WSM w/ 23" barrel. What would be the best twist rate if I wanted to use 162 A-Maxes and 168 Bergers? The A-Max box says 1-8 twist and the Berger box says 1-10 or faster. Is it possible to shoot both well out of the same barrel? Thanks for any help. Mark

1 twist in 8 inches is in fact fster than 1 twist in 10 inches.

So you can use a 1 in 8 twist barrel for both bullets, as per manufacturer specs!

at least that is my understanding of twist rates.
