The guys on Sierra's helpline will talk you ear off about this subject.

They talked me out of a slower twist(than 1/12) by merely opening my eyes to the advantages of the 175 MK in a bolt gun.

Give them a call....

Is this the same DKing from Maryland that I think it is (LRH)? If so, it's good to see you here!

I shoot 168 MKs through a 1-10" with outstanding results.

I hear the 1x14 twist more from the benchrest crowd and the faster 1x12 or 1x11.25, 1x11 and 1x10 from the hunters and long range High Power, Tactical and whatever shooters. I'd personally stay away from anything slower than 1x12 and would (and do) use something faster still, like 1x11.25, 1x11 or 1x10. It's nice to have the option for a longer bullet and you'll be stuck at the other end with a 1x14.
