For the experts: I tried several times to call local gunsmith- no answer & no answer machine! I have S&W Mod 1500(Howa), Rem. Mtn Lt S/S(Mod 700) and Sears Heritage M-IV Supreme 122-5700, which all have too heavy (for me) trigger pull (4lbs12oz, 4lbs & 4lbs, respectively). They are all factory orig. I want to adjust them all down to 3lbs; they are hunting rifles. Are any, or all of these triggers, adjustable? Or, must I replace them with something like a Timney, which I understand is adjustable? Is this a job for a reasonably skilled doityourselfer- or should I have the gunsmith do it?

There's preobably a blob of expoxy on the adjusting screws??

Remove the blob and you'll remove warranty...but in the real world, yes they can now be adjusted.

By the way, the Sears Heritage is a 98 Mauser.
