I have a rifle I want to refinish the metal on. It has a teflon finish on it and is wearing in spots. I'm thinking on redoing it in a ceramic finish like cerakote. What's the best way to strip the finish on this rifle(bolt, action, barrel and floorplate)?

Your finish will stick better if you blast it with Aluminum Oxide to give the steel some "tooth" . Glass beads will just peen the surface as it can't cut the steel . Oxide will fluff it up and give more surface for the finish to adhere to . Glass beads are good for matting stainless steel , or carbon steel prior to a matte blue being applied . Don't forget to have your Liberals spayed or neutered !
