OK, still plenty of time, BUT...kevlar stock gettng ready to paint and I need to choose a color for the duracoat. Metal is to be a wonderful flat blue/black bluing. 7X57. Light weight. I have thought of a darker gray, but please, some suggestions???? Thanks, Arthur

I've never liked any of the solid colors BUT the Frekeled or Slater look is pretty cool.

Cheers, John

I used Duracoat on a Ruger #1, stainless with a laminated stock. I believe the color I used is called Parkerized, kinda medium gray, contrasted well with the stainless barrel and action. I used the rifle in Zambia in October, the Duracoat held up well. Duracoat is tough stuff. I only used Duracoat on the butstock and forend, not oon the metal.
