Just looking for opinions here, didn't know which forum to post this on. I just picked up a very nice (90%+) pre 64 300 H&H. I've had many 375s over the years includeing Brno Sako Witworth and CFR mod. 70 Classics. None have really been perfect. I bought the 300 to take apart for my ultimate 375. The problem is this guns extremely nice, all original not even bedded. It has a receiver sight never even scoped. Do I rip it apart or keep it and start looking for another one. I know its a personal decision just looking for some input.

If you are going to tear one apart to customize it why not look for one that has been hunted hard to tear down.

I agree with 22WRF, everyone used to look for 300 H&H m-70's to convert to 375, now they are getting rare and the prices are going up. I would look for a beater and sell or keep the nice one. My .02. Lee.
