Welcome, fellow Canadian, I believe Squire Bingham is a Philippine based company(maybe I am wrong) so parts could be hard to find in Canada. Assume the thickest part of the barrel is less than .755", most .22 heavy barrel is thicker than that. If I were you I'll find a gunsmith, bring the rifle and a .22 barrel, see if the smith is willing to turn the barrel into the same contour as the SB barrel( given that the smith have a good lathe).

Pyrotek Thanks for input. Yes they are made in the phillipines. The part where the barrle and action come together mesures .775 diamiter. Most barrles I have looked at are only .560 in this area. Or I am going to have to get a blank and start from scratch.

Cooydog, What is the length of the barrel though? Barrels for Ruger 10/22 out there is very abundant, even factory skinny barrels start with a .910" base, but they are fitted differently. You might have to set the barrel back and turn it into the shape you want. Factory 10/22 tapered barrels is only 18.5" long but aftermarket heavy barrels are longer, some 20", some 22", they cost a bit more since they are heavy barrels.

Well.....the length is bout 10 inches... the previous owner cut it....an 18.5 would work i guess.. I could say put a 1.5" flash supresser to get the length over the required totall 18.5" needed to be leagle.
