Does anyone know how the front sight and bayonet lug assembly is attached to the barrel? It appears as if it is pinned(as in the SKS) and possibly sweated on.
How should I go about removing it?

I removed the pins from mine but have not been able to remove the front sight bayonet lug assemlly yet. If it doesn't come off then what are the pins for? I will keep on trying.

It's sweated on.. if you want to cut off the whole thing, just use a diamond wheel dremel....
