Hey Fella's, just used JB's for the first time. I've always cleaned my match guns, and hunting rifles with conventional bore solvents, sometimes sweets, and lots of good patches and elbow grease. Couldn't resist JB's. The question is this...if you use JB's, will you eventually get a clean patch, or does a JB impregnated patch always come out black. I cleaned what I thought were clean rifles, and got black patches everytime I put on JB's. If I cleaned up with solvents and clean patches, they came out clean, however, If i used another with JB's, I got another black patch. I'l wait for a response before I wear out the rifling. Thanks
Good shooting.
PS..That JB stuff sure seems to work...black patches or not

Yep...you guessed it, you will always get a black patch. I stop when I can feel the difference in how the patch goes down the bore and then I use a wet patch to clean everything up followed by a dry patch and then I run a lightly oiled patch down before I put it away......run a dry patch down before your shoot again of course. PB's is as good as it gets and it won't hurt your barrel.

Whew....thanks DB,
I was starting to get worried that I'd wear out the rifling. I just gave my buds a blast because he had borrowed one of my rifles..and I just scrubbed for an hour with JB's and got nothing but black patches. It is great stuff, as you said. Thanks for the input.
