Quote: It's the artical#720 24" barrel. It lost about 1.5" because banded sight fitting issues. You might do better starting with the art#722 but I wanted a short compact rifle. Terry

TC1, Which LW barrel is that? Nice looking so far!

The finish is as smooth as I've ever seen on a blank. This is the only one I've ever owned and haven't shot it yet. Others say they are very accurate barrels. I know it's hard to beat the price. Terry

Go for it! I'm in the middle of the exact same project. Mine is a 1909 Argi with a 9.3X62 L/W barrel, NEGC sights, Gentry safety and Blackburn bottom metal. It's at Mike Scherz right now getting the finishing touches on it, surface ground, custom bases and I guess I'll have it heat treated now that that I've read all the horror stories. I've never had any trouble in the past, but now that I know better. If I don't get it done, I'm sure something bad will happen Here's a couple of pics of work in progress. Terry

Nice, Thanks! I thought so. Those LW barrels sure are nice, aren't they?

It is close. The 9.3X62 will have a couple more grains of powder capacity.
