Walnut on Walnut Laminated Stocks Question

Hi All,

I would like to hve the steady consistancy of a laminated stock for my new Varmint rifle project, but I hate the "look". Many years ago I remember a friend had a 338 Mag made up on a Mod. 70 and stocked with a laminated stock made of layers of Walnut. It was and still is the only laminated stock I have ever liked, it was very pretty, it looked like exhibition grade wood "all over".

Does anybody make such an animal? is it possible to get someone to make it up? It should be as stable as a plastic stock but look and feel great.

As always, thanks in advance for any info or comments.
