I voted to save it, but I think there is a better way...

There are other similar posts that have not been save and have faded into obscurity so I would hate to see that happen here. (Duane's build of a scholarship rifle comes to mind)

In that case I found the old thread through a search because I remembered it, then copied and pasted the entire thing into a word Document and saved it to my hard drive. I later edited out all the generic "atta-boy" comments.

At some point it makes sense to store this kind of information in a retrievable location. Leaving it as a live sticky at the top of a current forum may not be the best way to do this.

I would propose the creation of an Archive forum. A read-only place to blow the dust off of old threads that are rich in knowledge and deserve preservation. Moderators could edit them down a bit to remove "nice work" comments, saving legit questions that are asked and answered in the thread.

Thoughts or other suggestions?

Try to look unimportant. Your enemy might be low on ammo.

Every now and then we stop fighting on this forum long enough to let a flat out masterpiece come to life, grow and prosper. This is Obviously one of those times.

Please keep it available.
