I had a gentleman bring in a Model 700 H & R for a scope mount and butt plate replacement and of course they are both out of stock the gun is NOS. The butt plate I can fix, Does anyone know if Weaver makes a blank mount at least 6 inches long, I can drill it to match the receiver if I can find one. He wants a Weaver mount one piece.

If you just want a Weaver blank piece, look on eBay. Or Brownells; I have bought them before. Forgot where now. Look for Picatinny rail.

I found a vintage scope repair company in Montana that has all sorts of Weaver mounts and bases. They had one that I needed.
