I am having a .223 bored to 6mm and wonder if this will work? If not I can go to the 6X47 aka .222 mag, but I have a lifetime supply of .223 brass. And before any one asks, cause I want one!

Hello Moorepower:

The 6x45 is simply the 223 Rem necked-up to accept a 6mm projectile. If your barrel is re-bored to 6mm without the headspace being changed, or the chamber goobered in the process, you'll only need a neck & throat reamer to create a 6x45 chamber. A home-made "chamber-length gage" is helpful during this process, and I'd be happy to describe how to make one if you call me personally @ 1-810-953-0732 during normal business hours.

Thanks for the info. I am planning on sending to Wayne York for a cut rifle rebore, and I think this will be the perfect match.
