Just hot some pieces in the mail of this amazing wood. Has anyone seen it on a gunstock? I know large pieces are hard to come by, but this wood is excellent

Yes, it is beautiful wood. I have only seen it used in carved figurines.

I wonder if you could get a piece large enough for a rifle stock. Should make nice handgun grips though.

I have a pen made of olive wood. I love it.

Not sure how it would work function-wise for a stock, but with a good oil finish it would certainly be a beautiful stock.

Just wondering? Have you ever seen an Olive wood stock? Do you have any pictures of an Olive blank that would make a rifle stock? What is the density of Olive wood? Thanks

Really I am just curious, but I have supplier that thinks he has the right sized logs and he has sawn riflestock from walnut. I just need to see if he has large enough pieces to get proper grain flow?
