Forged Mauser bolt handles = Bubba job or not?

I want to read your opinions and discussion, and see some pictures on this subject. I have seen lots of pictures of custom welded handles, but I can't remember seeing any of the forged handles.

I'm trying to find out if anyone can do a forged handle that looks right enough to run the gauntlet here. Big Grin

Davis May does a really nice job. He did about 6 for me in the past year and I have been very pleased. You can get his contact info on the mauser central forum

Here are three forged handles. One is on a Mauser and the other two are on Springfields. If done properly forged handles are very nice.
