I tried installing a Rifle basix trigger on a 700 ADL and couldn't get it to work with the factory safety. Any thoughts? They say it will take the safety as issued.

I don't know, I've installed quite a few and haven't had any problems. It's possible you got a bad one. What won't it do?

Without the safety lever installed, it works fine. When I fit the lever, it won't allow the sear to drop far enough to allow the firing pin to move forward. I am hesitant to take some material off the safety lever.

Jim,sometime you have to grind a small notch in the safety lever per their instructions ,the instructions address this for the EVR model,but i had a standard i had to do this on.
