Let’s say you were going to build a collection of rifles representing significant custom gunmakers of the 20th century. Who would the makers be, and what type of rifle would you have from each? They could either be those who by the quality of there work raised the level of the art, or maybe those who’s style had an influence on the direction of gunmaking, or those that for whatever reason, you feel made some significant contribution to the craft.

Just trying to get some thoughtful discussion started.

Michael Petrov (he posts on here) has a great book entitled “Custom Gunmakers of the 20th Century.â€

Yes I know, I have the book. Michael's book primarily deals with pre-war gunsmiths. I'd like to open it up more to the entire 20th century, and hear what others have to say. You don't have to write a book to have an opinion.
