SnellstromI've got Acra Glass where I don't want it............need a little help.
I just did a bedding job and it went perfectly with one exception, when I was setting the rifle to the side I must have had some Acra Glass Gel on my hand and left a thin glob and some bedding fingerprints on the barrel where I didn't have any release material on it. Barrel is the finished product.
What are some suggestions to help a poor slob out to remove this stuff from my barrel without causing damage to the finish?
Thanks in advance

new_guyepoxy remover will take it right off, and it hasn't harmed any bluing I have yet.
Some times one can just oil it or use T -9 lube or Kroil and let it set over night polish with a clean rag the next day !. Mek will soften the epoxy wrap a wet rag with it around the area and follow above instructions . Good luck

MEK.. bad stuff but it works.

308SakoI remember chasing some with a piece of wood shaped like a mini chisel! Worked very well after some solvent had been applied. No damage what so ever to the metal.

dempseyIt's the purple stuff used in fitting vinyl pipe . You can get some clear stuff at places that sell rafts. You use it prior to patching a hole of leak.

jeffeossojust need to get it hot.. heat gun will do it... hair dryer, but takes too long... it will come off pretty easy...
heatgun (10 bucks at harbour frieght) then when the exopy smokes just a little, wipe it off with an oily rag

SnellstromThanks guys I just got it all off nice and clean.
I put it in the oven pre heated to 200 degrees for 15 minutes and it wiped off fairly easy. I had treated it yesterday with "Kroil" with no effect but today the oven method worked like a dream.
Thanks to everyone who submitted a method, wished I could have tried them all.
I really appreciate this forum as the wealth of knowledge and hospitality that it is, keep up the good work guys.
