Remington Floor Plate and bolt smoothness

I have a LH 700 BDL in 7mm Remington Magnum and with the floorplate released the bolt is slick as snot. However, when the floorplate is placed back into the rifle the follower makes significant contact with the bolt and makes the bolt throw considerably less "slick". My other two Remington 700 rifles have very little contact with the follower and thus feel far smoother. Is there a different designed follower I can get that will work as a repeater and make my bolt feel smoother?

Here is what I have.

(EDITED TO SAY - this is the FOLLOWER it is touching not the floorplate. I had a brainfart when I first posted this)

Put some Dykum on the follower and work the bolt. Then polish the areas that contact the bolt and see if that cures the roughness. Just smooth, don’t change the geometry.

Rick - I looked and did some measuring. It appears that the bolt actually displaces the floorplate around 1/16" of an inch (hard to get an accurate measurement here) when the bolt closes. That is why I wondered if there was a different floorplate design. Both of my short action rifle floorplates look different and neither one touches the bolt when it closes.
