Don't know if they are still open, but there used to be a good mechanical/technical smith at Specialty Arms III in Smyrna. The shop was on Murfreesboro Road, if I remember that right. Also, if I recall correctly the smith's name was Jeff.

Not sure what you are looking to have done, but he was good at making stuff work and doing all the technical and mechanical stuff. I don't know how he would be on stuff like fitting quarter ribs or making stuff pretty. He did build some nice race comp 45's, so I suppose he could do nice aesthetic work as well.
