I bought a SIG 716, and I don't like the adjustable stock. I'd like to use one of the Magpul PRS units. What do I need to make that happen?

Second, I hate the trigger. I understand there are large pin and small pin triggers. How do I tell what I have, I want a crisp 2.5 pound two stage pull.

On the AR-10, which is only the ArmaLite Rifle; (no other maker can use that name; it is a TradeMark), are all small pin.
But I am pretty sure the SIG also used the small ones, .156. Only Colt used the big ones, that I know of.
Stock? I think you need a new buffer tube to use standard stocks; not sure.

Geissele 2 stage, it is quite light. Only 2 stage I've tried. Arguable the timney modular is kind a 2 stage.

I seen a lot of after market triggers fail on ARs.

Saw a Geissele lose a pin shooting P-dog shoot.

I personally will take a standard Mil-spec trigger over an aftermarket one.

For what I use my AR's for I need them to go bang every time.

After 20 years in the military, I can't deal with it.

stock -- make certain you have the right diameter tube - just uses AR stocks, tiny effort.

trigger - on the ar10, i strongly suggest at least a 3.5# to ensure primer detonation - can be two stage

For the magpul PRS you need to get an A2 rifle tube. These come in kits with a spring and buffer. ~$35. https://www.ar15handguard.com/...fer-tube-kit-rbt308/

The PRS comes in a mil spec/commercial grade where the tube diameter is different between them, just need to make sure they match.

Or, you can get a tube extension, and a new spring. https://heavybuffers.com/springs.html. The buffer itself may work. They do come in different weights. I would just try what you have, or just buy the whole kit from above.

You can also ask Magpul to double check if these kits would work, and they will let you know.

I personally have not replaced the stock on mine to the PRS, so I cannot say for sure that these kits work, but you get the idea of what needs to be done.

You'll need more than a stock & trigger group for your SIG USA bastardized/proprietary rifle.

Also keep in mind that the PRS was designed around the AR-15 receiver length, when used on an AR-10 the minimum LOP is around 14.5", I fitted the thinnest Decelerator in place of the Magpul pad to get it down to 14". As previosly mentioned, its heavy too.
