I have a 03A3 that has been sporterized. It has a stamped trigger guard, and I would like to change it to a machined trigger guard. Is there a lot of difference in the two? Will I have to do a lot of inletting? I plan on refinishing the stock anyway, but are there any other things that I need to look for?

Pretty much a straight forward exchange.

This had become somewhat of a no brainer for many years but the milled triggerguards have gotten pretty pricy over the last few years.

Never-the-less it makes any Springfield custom rifle look so much better that the cost would be worth it to me.
