winchester closed up shop in U.S.?
not really the right thread to post here but...i went to a gunshop in tacoma and the guy behind the counter told me that winchester is no longer building rifles.

FN, who manf. winchester guns under license, closed one of two US plants.

should they fail to be in production, the Rights revert to Olin (who OWNS winchester) ... who I doubt will allow it to sit idle long, as they make no money from an idle license

I agree with jeffeoso...if anyone thinks that Winchester (Olin) is going to stop making the two rifles that have been their bread and butter (M70 & M94) for years, then they don’t know much about the marketplace.
