I bought a small box of gun parts at a yard sale and while sorting through it found this dovetail type mount. I'm guessing it is for a red dot or something along those lines because of the short length. Problem is, I have no idea what model Ruger it is for. Anybody know what gun this was made for?
Thanks

Is the bottom surface made to fit something flat or curved?

Looks like rimfire grooves, but with a block to stop sliding.

Might be "for" a Ruger and not made by Ruger. So it might be from some small failed company that few have seen.

bcp- the bottom is made to fit on flat surfaces of differing heights.
You have a good thought, I never considered it might not have been made by Ruger. It is a machined casting, so I immediately thought it was made by Ruger.
Still, I am curious what gun it was made for.
