Do any of you have pictures of re-contoured trigger guards such as Mausers and Winchester M/70s. I would like to see some of the jobs that have been done to make these pieces more elegant that the stock straight sided bows.

Ottmar shaped that particular guard bow.

It is my understanding that it will be raffled off here on AR in the not too distant future.

Here a thread to more photos of the rifle.

Scrollcutter,
As has been remarked before... Beautiful work! Having done one of these before maybe makes it easier to appreciate when it all comes together... the right way!
Do you know if Ottmar first set it up on a mill to cut to 7 - 9 deg as I've read Mark Stratton does???

Sorry, I never asked him. Guess I always assumed it was at least partially done by machine.

I would very much appreciate seeing a close-up of the release latch for the hinged floorplate. I assume that it is the German lever type?

Try to look unimportant. Your enemy might be low on ammo.

That will have to wait for another day. I have the floorplate in my shop and the rest of the rifle is at Chic's.

There may be some photos in the AR archives that a search may produce. Jim Dubell did the metalwork.
