I have a CZ550 FS in 9.3x62 and I have a yen to try rechambering it to 9.3x64. The length seems OK. Anybody got any reasons not to try this conversion?

Dr. Duc, I can see none at all. Both can be built into a Mauser 98. The 9.3X64 has a larger case and slightly rebated rim but the chamber will clean up. The bolt face may need to be opened up a touch to .492"

There is another fellow on this board who has done the conversion (VLH is his handle I believe), and the only work needed was to open up the bolt face. He said no feed rail work needed to be done, and the magazine capacity was reduced from 5 to 4. Maybe he will see this post and chime in with more details (the only reason I know this is that I have a 9.3x62 CZ550, and was curious about what needed to be done to make it a 9.3x64)...
