I have 2 original magizine clips for the 5mm.
They came from a gun over 30 years ago. I think they come from a Remington.

Could this be the same guns made many years ago and the quit making ammo?

Buckeye, yep same here ya buy 3 boxes of rem ammo for 95.00 a box and they will give ya a rifle
I had one back in the late 70's awesome lil rifle, but now I can't bring myself to shoot a RH bolt so was looking for an option to build a LH bolt.

Ridgerunner,
I can't find it for sale on Gunbroker..could you guide me to it..

I have had an old clunker of a 5mm for many years and kept it for one reason, it shoots 1/2 inch groups at 100 yds, every time..I just could not part with it. I have saved a box of shells now for 10 years...

Wow, this is great news.

$27/50 isn't exactly a steal for rimfire ammo. You can reload and shot MANY centerfire rounds for much less than that. I'd think twice and if that didn't work, 3 times before I committed any serious money or effort to building a rifle to fit that round.

AND......If I did proceed with that plan, I'd REALLY stock up on that ammo because it probably isn't going to be around long.

I didn't find any 5mm Aguila ammo on Gunbroker. There is some NOS Remington. Use "5mm ammo" for the search keywords.

gato, when you consider that I paid 23.50 for it in 1978 and todays price for rem ammo hovers around 100 bucks for 50 its a steal.
Also its no big deal to convert it over to 5mm craig, and convert it back if needed.
You never spent money on something ya just wanted?

I've spent tons of money on just what I wanted, some of them had names like Cathy, Meg, Mary, etc.......but I learned from SOME of those episodes and nowadays I try not to be stupid when I spend my money, you can spend yours how you want.

I'll pay it for my 5mm. I have kept that gun for one reason only and that is because it shoots like a benchrest gun at 100 yds. Other than that it looks like a peice of crap, but hey I love an accurate rifle. I think I paid $50 for the gun back when..

I found the Centurion stuff on Gunbroker.

The stuff is available here for $18/box of 50.

Further the head size is much bigger on the 5mm than the HMR so rebarreling also means bolt face work and magazine work.....been there and didn't do that!!!

I'm watching for a falling block action to build upon!
