Bought and a bolt hunter II on friday. What is the difference between just a regular a-bolt and an a-bolt II ? I was suprised by what I got as I didn't open the box untill I got home. The bbl looked very long but it was the standard 22" and the stock seemed short but the length of pull was the same as my other brownings. The fore arm seems short, when I put it up to shooting position the forearm stud is in the palm of my hand. The box says a-boly hunter II fld What does fld stand for ?

I think Browning changed to the ABolt II in around 1994 or 95 when they brought out the Boss.

I've found the short action used for the WSM, 243 etc seemed to have a shorter forarm.

As to the FLD I'm not sure but it is on rifles, pistols etc. "Full Line Dealer????"

As usual just my $.02
