22WRF- Am I correct in thinking that you just fit a Dakota side swing safety to an Interarms Mark X action? If so, did you have to alter any of the dimensions, or do anything other than follow the instructions included with the safety? Thanks, flaco

Flaco As I mentioned in another thread, when I first attempted to put the safety on I was able to screw it all the way on except for the very last thread. Jeffe (our fearless moderator) suggested that I attempt to lap it on, so I took some lapping compound and just kept working it and working it, and finally I was able to get it all the way on. Now it works very smoothly. As for the grinding part of it, I had to get an angle finder (f that is what you call it) and a grinder, and I also used a dremel tool with some sort of extra hard bit for the third position bolt locker pin I didn't alter any dimensions, but I did use a stone to smooth out the grinding marks on the cocking piece.
