I have seen Gentry and Blackburn bottom metal for GEW98s, and both were very high quality.

I have reworked a GEW 98 (M98) Mauser to fit a 458 Lott. I removed less metal from the front of the action than either Gentry or Blacburn so their trigger guards will not fit.

Who makes a floorplate so that I can make a blind magazine for my Mauser?

Does anyone have a good (not stamped) Mauser trigger guard they would sell cheap? (Rust under the woodline not a problem.)

Thanks,

If you're going with a blind magazine Don, wouldn't you just need a trigger guard (like a Rem ADL)? - Dan

I'd much rather have a solid plate of metal from the front action bolt to the rear action bolt. A welded-up GEW98 triggerguard with the boc cut off would be just the ticket.

I have a Whitworth Mauser stock that would work fine with a solid plate like that.

Thanks,
