Rem 600 problem

My remington 600 will fire if the bolt is closed too fast or hard. What's the fix?

Have you or anyone else tryed to adjust the trigger, sounds like you have the trigger set to lite. Since it is adjustable you may want to take a look at it or take it to a gunsmith and he can set it for you. Good Luck

The trigger has been adjusted badly.......too little sear engagement or, MUCH WORSE, a connector that's been polished. It MUST be replaced if that's the case.

I have found the rear screw on the trigger to be adjusted to tight (IMO). There was barely any trigger movement at all. I turned that screw out 1/2 turn. This gave the trigger some "creep". After cycling the action several times the problem has yet to recur. Does this sound like a safe adjustment to you guys? Should I use something to "lock" that scew in place? Locktite perhaps?
