Please advise what parts are needed and how to restore this FN Mauser mag/trigger guard assembly to full working order? Are the necessary parts available and if so where? I plan to have a 7x57 barrel installed on the action.

Looks like you need a floorplate. I am not sure what direction you are going or what look you are wanting but you can get Mark X hinged for $100 or so on Ebay. This would be complete trigger guard with hinged floorplate.


As a general rule, people are nuts!

it looks like the floorplate release button is in place, if not I have some spares, and-

I believe commercial FN floorplates, followers and springs are essentially the same as on most military Mausers, $5-$10 items at gun shows or ebay, just add a little polishing.
