My dad wants to "fix up" a Winchester model 69 22 bolt action that belonged to my grandfather. The receiver was butchered by someone drilling it for scope mounts. He wants the holes fixed and the gun reblued so it looks acceptable. He is not interested in "restoring" the rifle, he just wants it to look presentable......and he is aware that the only real value it has is sentimental. So, what should he expect to pay to have the holes repaired and the gun reblued? There are 6 holes and they are currently plugged with "home-made" threaded plugs.....how would you suggest it be fixed? Here is a photo of the plugged holes.

I can weld all the holes and reblue for $150. Being a cylindrical receiver without heat treat really helps.
