I was looking through a Boyds gunstock catalog, and they are also selling Bold triggers. They're only about $34. Anyone have any experience with them? Are they even worth thinking about? They say that the trigger is a drop-in and that it will work on Yugos, mexicans, brazilians, spanish 93/95s, Brnos, Husqvarnas, etc. I noticed that Timney has a trigger specifically for the small ring mexican mauser. How can Bold make one that fits them all? Im needing one for a small ring mexican.

Thanks in advance. Gib

Hi Gib,

I've used four of them so far and they seem to work fine on the Mauser Action. I've used three on 98 mausers and one on a Yugo. I have one set at 1.5 lbs and have not had any trouble with it for over a year. The rest are set between 2 an 2.5 lbs and are working fine. They are a little rough looking but are fine for a budget rifle.

Good luck and good shooting, The Big Dog

I have one on a Waffen Frankonia 98 mauser action and love it. Much nicer than the Timney that is on my Dad's K98.
