I am in the process of building a 6mm ackley improved. My friend has a nice 1891 argentine small ring action. The barrel I have is a douglas XX #1 contour. I was hoping to build a light weight and was looking to build off this action. Here is the question is there to much headspace pressure for this action with the 6mm Ackley round. Thanks Del

The SAAMI max average pressure for the std 6mm Rem is 65,000 PSI, the AI might be a bit higher. There's no SAAMI limit for the original 7.65 round, but Norma's stuff is 52,000 PSI. I think the 6mm AI might be a bit too warm for the '91 action.
