Tell me about an EW Shaw rifle barrel? How good are they? How would a 26" medium heavey mag. barrel compare to a 26" Winchester LT Classic barrel. I'm looking at buying an Interarms action with this barrel and placeing it in a Bell and Carlson stock. How hard would that be? Its in 300H&H by the way. Got any idea what it would weight? Does EW SHAW have a web page?

Mark, you will get mixed reactions from folks here regarding Shaw. I have had some good results from them and some bad. Others have been very happy with them. They tend to foul more that the run of the mill barrels.

I myself won't risk the chance of having a bad one. I will rely on Kriege or shilen. The shaw barrels can be more of a pig in a poke.

I refuse to use them after I looked them over under a powerfull glass, they are rough..I also have seen some that shot and more that did not..

for the money I would go with a Walther-Lothar at about $160.00.....If that is too much then go for a Douglas..

Thanks for the replys! But after finding out it was a target weight barrel, the barreled action weighs 7#, I don't need it.

Rough barrels Mark. Me thinks that they are all made on Mondays or Fridays. Clubby contours too.
